Position Summary
AMNH's Membership Services department is seeking a full-time Project Manager, Direct Response Campaigns, who will manage print and digital campaigns for the Institutional Advancement (IA) area, including online and offline giving, fundraising events, member communications and acquisition. The Project Manager should work well in a fast-paced environment and excel as part of a team. They should possess outstanding communication and customer service skills, with a keen attention to detail. They should be highly capable of prioritization, developing schedules and delivering projects on time.

Job duties include:
  • Facilitate and run inter-departmental workflow for IA/Membership multi-channel giving efforts, completing tasks and campaigns on time. Coordinate scheduling for multi-channel online solicitation, member cultivation and event promotion communications, directing outside vendors as requested.
  • Coordinate copy, creative, editorial support, scheduling and audience targeting for ongoing major IA/Membership campaigns throughout the year, as well as additional communications sent to members by other Museum entities (i.e., monthly calendar, newsletter), in alignment with the Museum's voice in order to deliver on goals.
  • Ensure online event promotion, in coordination with Editorial and Events teams as well as the Member Programs Coordinator.
  • Provide QA support to the Digital Production Manager, reviewing email, web pages and web forms prior to publishing. Liaise with I.T. and testing personnel to ensure that ticketing functionality is in place and working properly in advance of event promotion.
  • Support the analysis of multi-channel online giving campaigns to help make sales recommendations driven by customer data and aid in the development of future campaign test strategies. Help gather and review audience insights from email marketing and web analytics platforms to recommend strategies to increase engagement, sales and donations. Monitor and report on email performance and levels of engagement, including transaction and revenue numbers, for inclusion in monthly e-marketing reports.
  • Track and maintain Membership direct mail inventory.
  • Attend Membership events as needed to support fulfillment and stewardship efforts.

The expected salary range for the Project Manager, Direct Response Campaigns is $62,000/annual - $70,000/annual. The AMNH offers an extensive benefits package designed to meet the needs of our dedicated and diverse community.

Pay will be determined based on several factors. The hiring range for the position at commencement is based on the type of work and the scope of responsibilities. The salary and placement offered is based on a number of individualized factors, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, education, credentials, areas of specialization and depth and scope of experience.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or at least four years of experience in a fundraising environment.
  • Three or more years of experience in a fundraising environment.
  • Familiarity with databases (especially Tessitura), Google Analytics, campaign management and operating standards and practices related to working online.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong background and demonstrated success in online Development solicitations and analysis.
  • Experience with online project management tools.
