WHO WE ARE
Hotels done differently. At Aparium, we believe in the power of People, Place and Character. We ensure our hotels are a place where individuals are valued and celebrated, elevating our associates' pride in who they are, where they live and who we serve. Our hotel is a tribute to the neighborhoods and the people of the communities where we operate. Step into the world of charm reminiscent of small hotels scattered across western Europe at Hotel Granada, where a hidden oasis awaits, providing respite from the noise and traffic of the city. Once inside, guests are enveloped by the romantic aura of the building, offering a peaceful escape from the stress and chaos of the surrounding urban infrastructure. Nestled in the heart of historic Midtown Atlanta, the hotel's Spanish Colonial architecture stands as a dramatic departure from the typical steel and glass buildings, boasting modern touches and meticulous attention to design that seamlessly blend the past with the present.
With a fascinating history dating back to 1923, Hotel Granada has witnessed Atlanta's rise as a dazzling southern destination. Formerly known as the Granada Apartments, the property was converted to The Artmore Hotel in 1984, hosting a myriad of prominent figures and quirky characters that have contributed to the city's vibrant personality. Its stucco facade, red tile roof, an inviting open-air courtyard come together and converge to create an urban oasis, offering guests a European-style experience within a meticulously restored and architecturally significant structure.
At the heart of the 120-room hotel lies a lively and quaint courtyard, serving as an all-day dining and drinking destination for museum goers, locals, and hotel guests alike. Descend downstairs to discover an elevated and enchanting cocktail bar, where a carefully crafted drinks program promises a taste of perfection, positioning it to quickly become one of Atlanta's most sought-after spots. Hotel Granada invites guests to embark on a timeless escape, where the allure of the past meets the comforts of modernity. Whether you seek solace in history, appreciate exquisite design, or simply yearn for a delightful experience, Hotel Granada promises an unforgettable journey where the past and present unite.
The hotel is managed by Aparium Hotel Group. WHO YOU ARE
Your past experiences have led you to understand that there is an art + science to the how and what an HR professional is responsible for; not all remedies can be outlined in a policy or noted in a handbook. You are an advocate for the employees and in return understand the strategic direction of the business and how people drive the success of the company. In the past you have read those articles of why people dislike an HR department and said to yourself, "I agree - I too want to modernize the role and responsibilities of HR." The passion you have for the business you're in has led you to interpret a P&L, understand the current marketing strategy, and challenge the status-quo. You continually find ways to partner with your peers to identify a better way of doing things and have the grit and tenacity to see it through. THE ROLE As the Director of People + Culture, you are the guardian of the culture pillars of People, Place and Character that promotes an engaging, positive and safe work environment for all employees; implementing proven practices and programs in which employees feel recognized, valued and supported. This position leads all facets of the function for the hotel, with one (1) direct report. If you only prefer to "see the forest" and not willing to "plant the trees" then this is not a role for you.
