Job Description

Come join us! WellSky is seeking a Revenue Cycle Consultant to join the Professional Services team. In this role you will be responsible for coordination and execution of project activities during implementation and training of software. Acts as the revenue cycle expert to ensure project success, satisfaction of contractual obligations, and transition of customers into a post-implementation customer support program during the professional services engagement.

A day in the life!

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Collaborate with project managers, project teams, and client personnel to complete implementation tasks through the lifecycle of the project
  • Analyze existing RCM workflows & financial metrics to identify the current state of the client's operation. Gather data, document processes, and collaborate with team members to gain insights into workflow challenges
  • Identify RCM operation inefficiencies with billing, collections, accounts payable/receivable and reimbursement processes and provide feedback on areas of opportunity
  • Facilitate RCM client meetings to provide feedback on requests based on revenue and finance operation knowledge. Offer suggestions for modifying workflows to optimize software.
  • Provide hands-on training to designated client members, guiding them through the software's functionalities and features to ensure proficiency in utilization for the revenue workflow.
  • Conduct configurations for system parameters (billing rules, fees schedules, payer contracts, coding preferences etc.), troubleshoot and participate in issue resolution
  • Using foundational knowledge of state and federal regulations, follow established practices and guidelines while also exercising best judgement dependent on situation, to ensure the RCM implementation abides by the standards
  • Identify opportunities for automation, streamlining, and standardization to improve efficiency and financial performance
  • Up to 50% travel required

Do you have what it takes?

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 2-4 years related work experience
  • Understanding of government regulations regarding reimbursement and billing compliance
  • Able to master WellSky products and thoroughly train client.
  • Knowledge of and ability to create, implement, evaluate and enhance internal control processes.
  • Able to travel up to 50%, additional travel may be required depending on customer needs

Do you stand above the rest?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years' experience implementing revenue cycle software solutions and/or managing the revenue cycle process at a large healthcare facility
  • Experience implementing revenue cycle software in one of the following facility types: long term acute care hospital, inpatient rehab facility, behavioral health facility, or skilled nursing facility
  • Experience with more than one revenue cycle management system
  • Basic knowledge of general accounting functions/general ledger
