Second Shift Production Operator

Charter Wire's 81st Street facility is currently looking to fill a 2nd Shift manufacturing job in our Production Department. Production Operators will run multiple high-powered machines in a fast-paced, detail-oriented production environment.

What do you need to know about the job?

* Pay Range - $19.50, or higher for highly qualified candidates, plus $1.50/hr.shift differential

* Shift -This is a Second Shift job, (2pm - 10pm, M-F)

* Location - 7850 N. 81st Street, Milwaukee, WI 53222

What does a Production Operator at Charter Wire do?

Charter Wire's 81st Street facility produces parts for global customers and is heavily focused on quality in all positions. This facility has several production areas, each with multiple levels for Production employees to pursue when they're ready for advancement.

Sort and Pack Department Operators ensure accuracy and efficiency by packing parts, spotting machine issues, and working together to keep production flowing. Our top performing employees have a sharp eye for detail and are team players in this fast-paced, hands-on position.

Cold Forming Department Operators are responsible for multiple machines run smoothly and produce parts that meet very high customer quality requirements. They combine precision operation with a strong attention to detail for quality, performing inspections, basic troubleshooting. They partner with Set-Up Operators, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure the machines are running efficiently and we can meet our customer commitments.

Stamping Department Operators run up to four stamping machines to ensure we are making very specialized parts that will meet customers' quality requirements. They will operate in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail for quality, performing inspections, basic troubleshooting.

Minimum Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required, but if you don't have it that's okay! We will pay for you to get your GED through an accredited program!

* You work safely, you must be able to meet the minimum physical requirements of the job, with or without accommodation.

* To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
