Job Description

Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Molecular Analyst/Bioinformatician for our client located in Jacksonville, FL.

Job Overview:

The Molecular Analyst/bioinformatician will provide technical skills in bioinformatics and molecular sequencing analysis and reporting for the Florida Newborn Screening Program.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of work/research experience in bioinformatics, molecular biology, biology, biochemistry
  • 1+ year of experience using standard analysis software and demonstrated exposure to sequencing data analysis
  • 1+ year of experience with deployment, validation, configuration, and development of customized bioinformatics workflows
  • 1+ of Programming skills in C++ or Java; Programming skills in R, Python, Perl, BASH, or another related field
  • 1+ year of experience performing exploratory data analyses

Education:

Master of Science (MS) in bioinformatics, molecular biology, biology, biochemistry, or another related field

OR

Bachelor of Science (BS) with three or more years of work/research experience in bioinformatics, molecular biology, biology, biochemistry, or another related field
