Operations Supervisor

Job Summary

STS Technical Services seeks an Operations Supervisor in La Porte, Texas. You will oversee fleet operations, supervise staff, ensure compliance with policies, and manage leased equipment to deliver high-quality customer service. Opportunities are available across all shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Schedule and oversee the inspection, service, fueling, and dispatch of terminal tractors and trailers.
• Interpret and enforce company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
• Analyze and resolve work issues or assist team members with problem resolution.
• Manage shift responses to equipment breakdowns.
• Investigate and report incidents involving company property or personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of work hours, supplies, and work performed.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Perform duties of supervised employees as needed.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and comply with company safety procedures.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to develop team members’ skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise subordinate employees to ensure adherence to company policies and operational efficiency. Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and provide leadership in a high-demand environment.

Customer Service Skills

Strong communication skills are required to understand and meet customer needs while maintaining high-quality standards.

Experience

• Supervisory/management experience, particularly with 24/7 operations, heavy equipment, port terminals, and maintenance.
