Responsibilities


1st Shift - (6:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Thursday and 6:00 am - 12:00 Noon Friday and overtime as business needs dictate) 

Starting Pay $18.00/hr (additional compensation may be available depending upon experience)

 

Our Globe Footwear Plant, a Division of MSA Safety, is looking for individuals who are interested in being part of a team that builds protective leather footwear for firefighters. Our Team consist of individuals performing stitching and non stitching operations as we convert specialty cut fabric into high quality footwear.

 

We are now hiring for a Production Worker to support our Stitching operations.  This role is counted on to perform day to day tasks utilizing industrial sewing machines and be responsible for the following:

  • Performing various stitching operations, including hand stitching, changing needles and bobbins and will utilize a variety of industrial single needle, double needles and programmable machines to stitch leather footwear.
  • Working in different departments and accepting cross training in other jobs to support production needs.
  • Reading production tags and the quality of their work.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in sewing/stitching.
  • Able to speak, read and write English.
  • Must be able to reach 12-18 inches.
  • Must be able to sit/stand/walk for a full shift.
  • Strong organization skills and high attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in Quality Control and Inspection desirable.
  • Good manual dexterity skills and ability to work with hands.
  • Positive and flexible attitude and ability to work and be a team player.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
