POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Under the direction of Housekeeping.  The incumbent will plan, organize, schedule and provide support for the daily housekeeping operation of the Transportation Safeguards Training Site at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Incumbent will make up each guest room (which has been occupied) to completely clean room.
  • Cleans rooms using conventional methods, using vacuum cleaners, dusting cloths, and other similar materials and equipment.
  • Keep supervisor informed of unique situations and problems encountered.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize work while meeting all deadlines.
  • Able to perform a variety of tasks in a single day.
  • Clean toilets, sinks, tubs, and showers in bathrooms.
  • Provide fresh towels and linens.
  • Change linens and blankets on beds.
  • Remove trash daily from rooms.
  • Clean common areas such as isles, hallways and lobbies.
  • Report any damage or missing items and submit maintenance requests.
  • Set up, attend, and clean up after resident functions (food, table, kitchen area, etc)
  • Ensure proper housekeeping practices are strictly observed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Accountable For:

  • Timely and cost effective performance of duties.
  • Timely completion and accuracy of all work.
  • Adherence to contract requirements and Alutiiq policies.
  • Work closely and harmoniously with fellows workers.
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations.

Pay rate: $17.20 hourly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Ability to comply with all safety requirements and wear personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Ability to comply with instruction and direction.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Applicant must have the ability to successfully pass a background investigation for both the company as well Government.
  • Must be able to perform physical labor to include lifting and carrying a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Position may require a valid drivers license.
  • Must be able to obtain a "L" (Secret) Security Clearance.
  • Pursuant to Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen.
