Cyber Threat Analyst Intern

Key Role:

Participate as a member of a Cyber threat intelligence team that brings discovery and detection and knowledge of of adversary motivations and TTPs that enables intelligence-driven solutions for its customers. Provide regional or functional analytic support for a wide-range of Cyber threat actors who affect multiple industries. Provide analysis support focused on threat actor and activity motivations, capabilities, and intentions, focus research and reporting on technical indicators of compromise, trend analysis of Cyber activity, and the evolution and exploitation of technology, monitor open source information feeds and threat actor activity to identify activity levels and indicators for Cyber threats and Cyber attacks, search open data sources to identify potential cyber threats, targets of interest, and time frames for attack, support the analysis efforts and research of known indicators, correlate events, identify malicious activity, and discover new sources to provide early warning for a variety of Cyber threats, and produce concise tactical warning reports and other analytic reports that detail daily findings, events, and activities. This position is located in McLean, VA.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources for the purposes of documenting results and analyzing findings to provide meaningful products

-Knowledge of Cyber attack techniques and technologies

-Ability to leverage online research tools to identify and navigate online forums, specialized Web sites, social media, and traditional sources

-Scheduled to obtain a BA or BS degree in Spring 2019


Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of tools used for wireless, Web application, and network security testing

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills in a professional environment

-Completion of relevant Cybersecurity coursework
