Key Role:

Support research tasks, including data collection, manipulation, and presentation, literature search, and interviewing. Compile reference and statistical data into standard formats. Accomplish assignments with minimal supervision and guidance based on general directions. Apply knowledge of standard research techniques, statistical analysis, and compilation of data. Select, analyze, and present data and information in written, oral, or graphical form. Exhibit knowledge of commonly used PC applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Use technical and analytical knowledge to explore and examine data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of discovering patterns and previously hidden insights to provide a competitive advantage or address a pressing business problem.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with performing data analysis using one or more of the following tools: MS Excel, SQL, Python, or R, including coursework

-Experience with data visualization tools, including Tableau, Qlick, or equivalent products

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-Scheduled to obtain a BA or BS degree in CS, Data Science, Statistics, or Mathematics by Spring 2019 or 2020

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in data ingestion, data wrangling, and data cleansing using tools associated with the Big Data ecosystem, including Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark

-Experience with SQL or SQL based analytic functions in RDBMS platforms, including Oracle and MS SQL Server

-Ability to leverage expertise in mathematical and statistical concepts, computer science, and domains to bridge the gap between technologists and mathematicians, ensuring analytical products meet client and project expectations

-Ability to apply expertise in data science, programming, and the latest technologies to analyze and implement analysis infrastructure and tools, analytic workflow processes, and complex data visualizations.

-Possession of excellent critical thinking and analytical skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
